I Spy Nature Everywhere Program

This early learning program has students use their senses to explore the natural world around them. They will learn about birds of Howard County, what they eat and how and why birds build nests. Students will also meet the Conservancy's resident owl and learn about its unique adaptations for survival.

Habitats: Up, Down and All Around Program

This first grade program allows students to explore both natural and man-made habitats of plants and animals found at the Howard County Conservancy. Students will search the gardens and orchard around the old farmhouse looking for wildlife homes and habitats.

Stewards of the Land Program

This third grade program has students discover the habitats and special adaptations of plants and animals found in Howard County. They will get down and dirty in our Children's Garden creating habitat for plants and insects native to this area. Students will also meet the Conservancy's resident owl, learning about specialized adaptations, hunting techniques and the threats that face owls in the wild.
